This tool is designed for unit conversion among common optical quantities.
Functionality: converts between nm, cm-1, Hz, and eV.
1. Frequency–wavelength relationship:
$$\nu = \frac{c}{\lambda}$$
2. Wavenumber–wavelength relationship:
$$\tilde{\nu} = \frac{1}{\lambda}$$
3. Photon energy–wavelength relationship:
$$E = \frac{hc}{\lambda e}$$
where \(c\) is the speed of light, \(h\) is Planck’s constant, and \(e\) is the elementary charge.
